Release notes for SportsCode and SportsCode Gamebreaker version 8.5.1.

This version contains some very important bug fixes and upgrades. We are asking everyone running SportsCode version 8 to upgrade to this version and upgrade your operating system to 10.6.8.

If you are running Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion), then you should only run this version.

This installer, also, includes updated 64bit dongle drivers. So, it is no longer necessary to change your running system from 64bit to 32bit. If you have made this switch, see the support alerts page on our website to switch modes.

New Preferences:

In the capture preferences, we added a default movie name when using quick capture via remote communications. Insert a default name in this preference and every captured file will have this name plus numbered suffix. An example, if the default name was ANGLE1, each captured file name would be ANGLE1 0001, ANGLE1 0002, ANGLE3 0003, etc. This is very helpful when capturing many angles and accessing the files across a network for stacking purposes.

Fixes and Updates:

In this version, we did a lot of ironing out and upgrading of features to prepare for the transition to Lion and version 9. There has been a lot of small items cleaned up and fixed. Below are the important ones to note.

Updated foreign language translations.

Added more support for using longer names in databases and other areas.

Fixed convert movie package feature failures.

Fixed problem when flatten was chosen for convert movie package. The resulting movie package would always be h.264 not the chosen conversion codec.

Fixed statistical commands reading data from the timeline share timeline when the capture is paused and resumed.

Fixed Matrix web export on Lion where there was a problem saving the files.

Fixed export to AppleTV for Mac OS X Lion.

Fixed communicate only button in the toolbar where it would become greyed out after one capture.

Fixed open all timelines in folder.

Fixed capture preference overlapping instances do not merge.

Fixed column sorting for the remote communications window.

Fixed movie conversion problems where the resulting movies would not play in iTunes.

Fixed matrix saving problem where it was reloading all information from timeline.
